On 15 December 2011 the University Board adopted Appointment Regulations for Uppsala University with regulations for teaching appointments, recruitment and promotion of teachers, to enter into force as of 1 January 2012. In the Appointment Regulations, “associate senior lecturer” isn’t defined as a teaching post nor are there any regulations for promotion of associate senior lecturer to senior lecturer.
The present regulations have been adopted to ensure that associate senior lecturers currently employed at Uppsala University have the possibility of applying for promotion to senior lecturer.
These regulations may be applied for the promotion of associate senior lecturers that were employed by Uppsala University during the period 2008-08-01–2011-10-31 by virtue of earlier provisions in the Higher Education Ordinance, Transitional Provisions Concerning the Ordinance on Amendments to the Higher Education Ordinance or extension of the transitional provisions between the parties to collective agreements in the higher education sector.
